Designed for privacy-sensitive clinical settings This tool runs entirely in your browser with no internet connection required. No data is transmitted or stored remotely. Suitable for clinical genetics environments where patient data cannot be entered into online tools.

How It Works

  1. 1Choose a shape (male, female, unknown) and click Add Person.
  2. 2Drag people to arrange them. Select a person to set annotation text, mark deceased/proband, or assign fill colours (solid or quartered).
  3. 3Use Partner mode to connect two people with a partnership line.
  4. 4Use Child mode — click a partnership line, then a person — to draw a descent line.
  5. 5Use Add Label in the side panel to place free-text annotations anywhere on the canvas. Adjust label size with +/−.
  6. 6Connected people move as a unit. Toggle Individual Move for independent positioning. Use the Key button to generate a colour legend.
  7. 7People are auto-numbered by generation and position. Export Image to save a PNG.

Off = drag moves connected family. On = drag moves one person.
